Rear differential failed, internal gears compromised. Noticed problem when going into gear. Vehicle no longer is able to go in gear and will shut off engine. No indication lights prior to failure. Vehicle showed drivetrain error as soon as it had failed. Vehicle was in main road when failure occurred, placing vehicle at risk. Upon BMW technician inspection, there were no leaks, fluid was clean but internal gears were compromised. BMW dealership in New York is unable to provide a problem cause. The rear differential failure caused driveshaft failure which also required replacing. However, the dealer is unaware as to how this could have happened, especially since this vehicle has been dealer-maintained. With no prior indication of failure and dealer unable to explain reason of failure, I request this to be investigated as there may be other vehicles experiencing the same failure.

Front right sensor not working as of 05-23-2024. Approximately seven weeks later the backup camera quit working. Dealers claims right front sensor chipped and no report on why the rear camera not working. If I back into my garage or pulling into a parking space with a car already parked or a wall, the parking assistance does not function. However, from time to time, it starts to work again! The dealer's comment is the sensor is damaged due to "outside influence". I literally had to get a magnifying glass and a flashlight to see the chip on the sensor. The sensor has no visible cracks or damage other than my comment in the prior sentence. Vehicle was brought in when I received the alert "Parking Assistance limited e.g. due to dirt on the sensors. Clean if necessary." Dealer would not remove the bumper to inspect the sensor, said it would take 3-4 hours to visually inspect the sensor, instead relied on software for their analysis. Said the rear camera not working because it is something related thru out the car with the other sensors even though this issue appeared 7 weeks later.

Vehicle continues to take over randomly when no vehicle, object, pedestrian or other item is on the road ahead of the hood. This persistent problem has been reported to the manufacturer and BMW dealerships on no less than (6) occasions – BMW advises the vehicle performs normally which isn't the case. ADAS/AEB takes over for no apparent reason, randomly, sometimes a few times per month, other times a few months apart – depending on speed at which the vehicle is traveling, the incident causes soft tissue injuries as was again the case on Friday, (XXX] when vehicle came to an abrupt stop when no vehicle, object, pedestrian or other item was on the road ahead of me as I was traveling southbound around 20mph on [XXX] around [XXX] (weather was sunny, road was dry). I suffered whiplash injuries which was confirmed later in the afternoon by Cedars Sinai hospital group in Beverly Hills, CA. BMW and their dealerships refuse to acknowledge the ADAS/AEB is faulty and continues to deny my safety documented concern which has led my vehicle to be serviced for more than 100 days since taking delivery in 2022, to no avail. The glass roof suddenly exploded while driving, there was a no visible damage on the glass as the sunshade was open and I inspect the glass for any cracks or chips, there were no cracks or chips. The outside temperature was 35 degrees, time as approximately 9:30 PM on a major highway with a smooth surface, and light traffic. The explosion did not occur while going under an overpass, there was no sound of any pebbles being pinged against the car, again traffic was light. Glass was not laminated as it is in a windshield, glass chips flew inside the vehicle which is very dangerous.
