The contact owns a 2025 Cadillac Lyriq. The contact stated that while driving approximately 45 MPH on a four-lane highway with the cruise control deactivated, the vehicle unintendedly accelerated. The contact stated that the vehicle accelerated above 100 MPH. During the failure, the cruise control erroneously activated but the speed was not displayed. The contact attempted to stop the vehicle by depressing the brake pedal but it accelerated instead. OnStar was contacted for assistance and moments later the vehicle decelerated and was driven to the shoulder. The contact stated that the vehicle travelled approximately 3 miles before the vehicle decelerated. The contact exited the vehicle, and there was smoke coming from the wheel wells and the brake pads. A tow truck was called to the scene, and the vehicle was towed to a local dealer. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 10,000.

I was driving on the freeway and was between two cars. The car on my right was trying to merge into me. I immediately was breaking while trying to control steering. I attempted to honk three times and my honk horn would not work. In a case of an emergency, that is absolutely unacceptable a car like this should be able to honk.

I was in a public parking lot and slowly approached a parking space in front of a store. When I applied the brakes to stop in the space, the car did not respond, it continued to drive forward, up the curb, crashed through the store front, and eventually came to rest mid-way in the store, amidst the furniture and store structure.

Stopped at the West Bound Thruway Seneca service area. After returning to the vehicle, multiple error messages were displayed on screen. "Have Power Steering Serviced, Service Stabilitrak, Service Headlamps, AWD Tempoarily Unavailable" Steering was the main issue. It was almost impossible to turn and steer. It was fortunate that it was after a stop and not while driving. The vehicle was towed to the dealer but it has yet to be determined why the steering failed.

On XXX, I was involved in a collision with my 2025 Cadillac Lyriq with vin # [XXX]. in which my vehicle struck a parked car, then a tree, then a curb, in sequence, at approximately 30 mph. The vehicle continued onto the curb after the final impact. All passengers sustained injuries and required X-rays and medical treatment. There were no warning lights or dashboard indicators prior to the collision suggesting any system malfunction. During the collision, the front airbags did not deploy despite multiple significant impacts. Additionally, Automatic emergency braking didn't engage as it should Following the collision, inspection showed extensive front-end damage including damage to the tires, suspension, and cross member, hood, grill, fender etc. requiring full front-end replacement. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate the non-deployment of the airbag system and the brake failure in relation to this incident. The contact owns a 2025 Cadillac Lyriq. The contact stated that after starting the vehicle, there was a cracking sound inside the vehicle. The contact looked up and saw that the moon roof glass was cracking. The contact stated that the crack had extended several feet. There was no impact on the moon roof glass to cause the glass to crack. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was 6,000.
