The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Colorado. The stated that after shifting to park(P), the contact was unable to immediately remove the key from the ignition switch. After several attempts, the contact was able to turn the ignition switch to the off position and remove the key. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer to be diagnosed, and it was determined that the shifter assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The failure mileage was 54,000.

The brake booster vacuum pump failed catastrophically while driving, resulting in a sudden, dangerous loss of power braking assist and a rock-hard brake pedal. Upon inspection by a mechanic, the pump's internal failure violently sheared and destroyed the engine's exhaust camshaft, requiring a complete camshaft tear-down and replacement. This is a severe mechanical defect causing both immediate highway safety hazards and internal engine destruction.

Loss of power steering, Truck repaired by GM dealer, he stated it was the same failure mode described in Recall notice N2023254 10. The repair even though the same as the previous failures was not covered by GM because my VIN was not in GMs recall notice. Looking at this website there a number of reports of power steering failures for later model Colorado and Canyons that were not covered by the recall. Either GMs fix was not effective, or they did not select the right VIN population. So the Power steering failure repair on my truck even though it is the same failure mode as the previous recall was not covered by GM.

Purchased truck Sept 30th, 2022. I drive home from the dealership that evening during a heavy rainstorm. Two days later I went to remove front passenger floor mat to put in all weather mats I noticed the carpet floor mat was damp and underneath the mat was wet. I felt the water direction towards the front tire wall area. Truck is back at dealership to determine cause.

The plastic piece on the heater blend door actuator breaks. There was a recall or a service bulletin (2016019) on this issue for the 2015-16 models. The problem still exists, but Chevy will not acknowledge it and the consumer is left to pay a ridiculous amount for the repair. How are they allowed to keep making this product? Had I known I wouldn’t have bought the truck.
