3 weeks ago all the warning lights went off. The vehicle is still under warranty. I brought it to the dealership. They denied the warranty because of mud that was caked on the undercarriage damaging the wiring and steering assembly. This truck was used on a dirt driveway that gets wet and muddy during the spring. That is what a truck is for. I believe there is a manufacturing defect that caused this problem.

There are two systems that are a hazard and dangerous on the Silverado EV. The First one is the Automatic High Beams. The Auto high beams will continuously flash other drivers on the road. This can blind other drivers and possibly case a crash. The other Dangerous safety feature on the vehicle is the Automatic Emergency Braking. The AEB feature when crawling behind another vehicle in bumber to bumper traffic will randomly just slam on the brakes unnecessarily which could cause a rear end collision. When this happens, There is no need for emergency braking as I am in full control of the vehicle. It will just slam on the brakes and the vehicle will come to a complete sudden stop. I have reported the issues to the manufacturer and instead of correcting the issue, They've advised to turn the features off. This defeats the purpose of the vehicle coming with these features. General motors needs to be required to correct these deficincies with a software update.

Is 14 complaints a lot? They were filed between 2025 and 2026, roughly 9 a year, which is about the same as the typical model in this dataset. We do not have sales figures for this model, so treat this as a rough volume, not a rate per car on the road. Popular, high-volume models naturally collect more complaints over time.

How does it compare with other years? The 2025 has 14 complaints on file, fewer than the 2024 (25). Older model years have had longer to collect complaints.
