2011 Chrysler 200, 156k miles, Original owner. At Highway Speeds engine will shut off! Extremely dangerous as you lose power steering and brakes on a busy interstate. No warning lights. No check engine. Issue just started happening and has happened multiple times in last 3 weeks. Car is unsafe to drive. After occurrence car will restart after about 30 minutes. I do not know why NHTSA or Chrysler hasn't done anything to initiate an investigation and recall. This issue is widely reported on many forums. After second instance, a repair shop reproduced issue and saw U1403 so they updated PCM/ECU as they couldn't find anything else. It has happened since then and my scanner showed DTC codes P061C status code 30 and U0401 status code 20.

Approximately [XXX] on [XXX] I was driving from my home to a doctors appointment on [XXX] in Tampa Florida. Approximately 8 mins from my home. The roads were in desperate need of repair with patchy potholes uneven pavement. I was going approximately 30 to 35 miles an hour that is the speed limit for this road as I was going over I hit one of the shallow holes in the road when that happened. the car bounced, and the headset exploded into the back of my head.!! it startled me, but not enough to cause an accident. I pulled over to see what had happened when I saw the headset. It looks like it exploded. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The brake booster corroded and the vacuum lines were damaged due to the corrosion causing the brakes to go out on the freeway. There is an active recall on the brake booster but when brought to chrysler they state the vin is listed in Canada (I live in Indiana in the USA) and not effected yet the part numbers match, there is no water shield that is supposed to be there and chrysler refused to take care of the issue that I had to spend 750 out of pocket. When I stated the part matched the recalled parts to chrysler they just said they would send a customer feedback form but there is nothing they can do. I have had my mechanic save the part in case it's needed. I almost crashed on the freeway because my brakes gave out due to a defective part and I'm basically being told to kick rocks.

I own a 2011 Chrysler 200 convertible. This vehicle has a huge problem with the convertible top latching system. When I try to close the top, the latches do not come out and therefore the top doesn't latch closed and there remains about a 2-3 inch gap that makes the car dangerous to drive in that position. Thereby making you have to drive with the top down. Then, when I called "ALL" my local Chrysler dealerships, they all say that they don't work on that specific problem. If not the dealership, then who? It's absolutely insane that Chrysler can straight up refuse to fix a known issue with one of their vehicles. I feel that this issue should be listed as a recall as hundreds, if not thousands, of customers have complained of the same issue.

Formal Customer Complaint request for manufacturer assistance. Vehicle, 2011 Chrysler200 Touring, VIN [XXX], engine3.6L V6. I am the current owner and I'm requesting Chrysler open a case to review intermittent stalling, starting and electrical problems and an HVAC defrost actuator that repeatedly cycles and fails calibration, raising a concern about windshield defrost visibility. I've replaced parts and done diagnostics, but problems persist. I request that Chrysler investigate, review the VIN history, check applicable recalls, and consider goodwill assistance for diagnosis and repair if a manufacturer defect is found. Is 336 complaints a lot? They were filed between 2011 and 2026, roughly 22 a year, which is more than the typical model in this dataset. We do not have sales figures for this model, so treat this as a rough volume, not a rate per car on the road. Popular, high-volume models naturally collect more complaints over time.
