The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, there was play in the steering wheel. Upon inspection of the steering wheel shaft, the contact discovered the bolt had mild rust and was loose on the end. The vehicle was not diagnosed by an independent mechanic or dealer. The contact tightened the loose bolt. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 14,101.
