Fire under and around engine compartment, exhaust manifold,hydraulic level system. Could have been Fatal or suffered total loss of 2 vehicles and 16ft trailer. 9/14/2026 approx 10:40pm driving my 2021 RV pulling 16ft trailer with 2024 jeep on it. From Flagstaff, Az on Interstate 17 south at approx 65-70mph down hill toward Cordes junction I could smell smoke looked at all display gauges nothing out of normal range, then auto level module turned on it has Red blinking lights with malfunction on screen, turned off after about 20sec, no area for pull off all guardrail continued on slowed down to 50mph, then vehicle passed me on the left and I could see smoke coming from my RV in their headlights, then the level module came on with same Malfunction on screen. I’m now at an Exit 263 go to end of ramp still smoke coming from underneath I turn L over I17 to rd another Left and again into Love’s travel stop parking lot, I exit the RV with extinguisher run to front attempt to home hood it’s locked, move to driver side and get on ground looking under to see huge fire under & around engine, I pulled pin sprayed until my extinguisher ran out, fire is not out!!! I’m screaming for help I then ran to semi fuel area banging on a window of trucker asking for help he didn’t even acknowledge me. The guy at pump asked what I needed I told him he grabbed it and we ran back to my unit also 2 others are arriving to help, I ran into my RV to get my dog as I was traveling alone. The men put out the fire. Thick smoke coming from unit so one of the disconnected the Battery, they stayed with me we watched for any flares. Yavapai Sherriff arrived to check scene, he had call of RV fire, he asked if all was ok. I stated yes it was out. No report filed no fire truck, I was stuck & with a Disabled RV. I’m very traumatized by the entire event that transpired. I pulled pin and
