The rear camera is having a glitch/ dark mode and is unable to fully inspect for any safety concerns despite myself checking my surroundings. It poses a hazard because it can cause myself to damage the car when I’m trying to reverse the car to park and I can accidentally hit an animal, a structure, or a child who is on my blind spot since the camera is unable to be shown clearly. Although there were multiple attempts to restart the car, using a Microsoft rag and updated the car it has failed to be resolved.

Travelling on the expressway I received a warning on my dash that my steering had failed along with other warnings. I lost the power steering and it was very hard to maneuver. I took it to a dealer that said it was electrical (software) and they had to reset it. Why???? My concern is it could have caused an accident if my wife was driving because she would not of been able to steer it. Or if I was in the middle of a turn or lane change. This is very concerning as I'm worried about a re occurrence.

The contact was driving a 2024 Ford Edge rental vehicle. The contact stated that while traveling in stop-and-go traffic the rental vehicle was involved in a multi-vehicle crash. The rental vehicle was crashed into from the rear and pushed into a second vehicle. A third vehicle was then pushed into the rental vehicle causing the rental vehicle to be pushed into a guard rail and roll down a hill. During the crash, the front driver's side air bag did not deploy. The contact sustained left leg, lumbar, neck, and abdomen injuries that later required medical treatment. One additional injury was reported from a second vehicle included in the crash. No further information was available. A police report was taken at the scene and the vehicle was towed to the local towing yard. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but no assistance was offered. The local dealer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 3,000.

Vehicle Information Year: 2024 Make: Ford Model: Edge VIN: [XXX] Description of the Safety Issue I am submitting this complaint regarding the unexpected failure of the panoramic glass roof on my 2024 Ford Edge. The vehicle was parked in my residential driveway. As I began backing out of the driveway, I heard a very loud explosion or bang. I immediately stopped and inspected the vehicle. I discovered that the panoramic glass roof had shattered outward. There had been no collision, no rollover, no object striking the vehicle, and no severe weather. The vehicle had simply been sitting in my driveway before I began backing out. The interior sunshade was closed at the time of the incident. After the glass shattered, a substantial amount of broken glass remained on top of the closed sunshade and around the roof opening. I also observed that there was essentially no broken glass in my driveway, which suggests the glass failed from within the panel rather than from an external impact. This sudden failure occurred without warning and created a significant safety concern. Had this happened while I was driving at highway speeds with passengers in the vehicle or with the sunshade open, the results could have been much more dangerous due to falling glass and the driver's distraction. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this incident to determine whether similar failures are occurring in 2024 Ford Edge vehicles and whether this represents a potential safety defect involving panoramic sunroofs. Air compressor for air conditioning died with only 37,000 miles and less than 3 year old Ford Edge. Costing me $2200 for new compressor and labor at Rocky Top Ford in [XXX]. Reason out of warranty car was sold in XXX. So passed the 3 years warranty. Looks like others have had this problem. Any help would be appreciated.
