WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEED, THE VEHICLE, A 2011 FORD F-350 SUPER DUTY GAVE A WARNING TO PULL SAFELY OVER - WITH NO WARNING THE ENGINE STOPPED. THUS RENDERING THE STEERING AND THE BRAKING SIGNIFICANTLY DEGRADED. THANKFULLY, MY WIFE AND I WERE ABLE TO PULL INTO A NEARBY PARKING LOT AND WAIT FOR A TOW TO THE FORD DEALER. A CUSTOMARY USE OF THIS VEHICLE IS TO TOW A TRAILER OFTEN WITH HEAVY MACHINERY. THANKFULLY ON THIS DAY THERE WAS NO TRAILER ATTACHED. THIS SITUATION WARRANTS AN IMMEDIATE RECALL. IF I HAD BEEN TRAVELING DOWN AN INCLINE OR ON ANYTHING LESS THAN A STRAIGHT ROAD. THIS INCIDENT COULD HAVE BEEN CATASTROPHIC. *TR

WHILE USUALLY TRAVELING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND HITTING SMALL BUMPS SUCH AS EXPANSION JOINTS ON BRIDGES THE TRUCK WILL SHAKE VIOLENTLY. IT HAS DONE THIS WITH VARYING DEGREES, AND MOST RECENTLY HAS GOTTEN WORSE. THE MOST EXTREME AND RECENT EPISODE WAS HAVING TO SLOW DOWN TO ABOUT 10 MPH ON THE INTERSTATE BEFORE IT STOPPED, AND IN PROCESS NEARLY BEING HIT FROM BEHIND BY A TRACTOR TRAILER.
