The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic and the contact was informed that the vehicle was unsafe to drive. The mechanic suggested that the subframe be rebuilt. The contact called the local dealer but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and referred to the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 55,000.

The contact stated that the parking brake was not functioning as designed. The contact looked underneath the vehicle and became aware that the parking brake cable was detached from the service brake system in the rear of the vehicle. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 10V202000 (Parking Brake) however, the VIN was not included. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 469,000.

TPMS ISSUE, THE TPMS SENSOR HAS FAILED ON THE FRONT LEFT TIRE. THIS IS WITH 2 YEARS SERVICE AND 10,850 MILES. FORD CLAIM THEY ARE NOT COVERING SENSORS SINCE THEY TAKE ABUSE FROM POTHOLES AND OTHER ROAD CONDITIONS. SENSORS WERE COVERED BUT THEY HAVE HAD TOO MANY PROBLEMS SO THEY WILL NOT COVER THEM ANY LONGER. I ASKED THEM TO DISABLE THE RECEIVER SINCE THERE IS NO TRANSMITTER. THEY STATED IT IS A SAFETY SYSTEM THEY CAN'T SINCE THIS IS A MANDATORY SAFETY SYSTEM I WOULD SUBMIT FORD HAS IMPROPERLY DESIGNED THE SYSTEM AND IT SHOULD WORK AT LEAST AS LONG AT THE WARRANTY. *TR

The contact owned a 2010 Ford Ranger. The contact stated that while the son was driving uphill at approximately 65 MPH, the vehicle crashed into the rear passenger side of a boat trailer, causing the vehicle to roll over and slide approximately 20 ft. During the crash, the front of the vehicle was severely damaged, but no air bags deployed. Additionally, the contact stated that a 100-pound dog was occupying the front passenger's seat during the crash. The driver sustained a mild concussion and was examined by a nurse, who was a neighbor. A police report was filed at the scene, and the vehicle was towed to the local storage lot and deemed destroyed. The cause of the failure was not determined. The manufacturer and local dealer were not contacted. The contact stated that the vehicle was previously serviced under NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V158000 (AIR BAGS), where the air bag warning light was illuminated after the recall remedy, and the dealer informed that it would un-illuminate after 50 miles. The failure mileage was 175,000.

2010 ford ranger rust of frame spare tire mount fell off, rear leaf springs mounting rusted off. rust hole in right frame. dealer: family ford, marietta,oh, and ford consumer service all give me the run around and say nothing can be done. the rusted frame is a serious safety hazzard. they won't fix it and won't tell who to get to fix it.

CALLED EVERGREEN FORD, ISSAQUAH, WA TO COMPLY WITH SAFETY RECALL NOTICE ON 06/26/2018 WAS TOLD I WOULD RECEIVE A CALL FROM MONICA. NO CALL AND FOLLOW-UP ON 07/11/2018 AND TOLD THAT THAT MY VEHICLE WAS ON A WAITING LIST. AS OF 10/29/2018 STILL NO CALL OR DATE FOR REPAIR.
