Summitt Trucking, LLC purchased 100 2025 Fruehauf Dry Vans in 2023. Within the first two weeks of taking delivery, we had one of them burn to the ground. We have had two more subsequently burn to the ground. Fruehauf has refused to properly address these issues. Of note, we originally ordered Hendrickson Suspensions, but the Trailers were delivered with SAF Holland suspensions, and we were never notified of this change. Upon insisting upon a meeting with Fruehauf and Bendix, we learned these trailers had issues relating to design and placement of components which led to the brakes applying themselves while the trailer was moving. These events have culminated in federal litigation pending in the action of XXX , et. al. v. XXX., Case No.XXX. If you would like more information, please contact [XXX] at XXX [XXX] or email [XXX].
