I was performing a low-speed maneuver to reverse-park into my driveway. After making a right turn between my driveway and the driveway of a neighboring townhouse across the street, I came to a complete stop. When I shifted the vehicle into reverse, the vehicle did not reverse as expected and instead unexpectedly accelerated forward. I applied the brake but was unable to stop the vehicle before it traveled forward into the driveway across the street and struck the garage door of a neighboring townhouse. The maneuver was being performed at low speed. Weather conditions were clear, and the driveway surface was dry. The cause of the unexpected acceleration is unknown at this time. No warning lights, messages, or alerts were observed prior to or during the incident. Immediately following the collision, I placed the vehicle into park and applied the parking brake, at which point the vehicle came to rest. Upon impact, the driver-side front airbag deployed. Smoke and a burning odor were observed coming from the deployed airbag. The incident posed a safety risk due to the vehicle’s unexpected forward movement during a low-speed maneuver and resulted in property damage. No injuries were reported. The vehicle remains available for inspection.

The car has been making clicking noise when braking or acceleration for about a year. I had all recalls software updated. I have brought it in multiple times. First saying a wheel bearing needed replacement, then a lose bolt. It helped for a while and then the clicking started again. Then the system failure occured recently and all the lights came on. The dealer currently cannot figure out what the issue is. The ABS light is on and the brakes don't seem to be working properly. I can't safely drive the vehicle and have no car to drive now. I have had the car a little over two years so lemon law most likely does not apply to this situation.

I am the original owner of a 2023 Hyundai Elantra Hybrid Limited. At approximately 114,719 miles, the vehicle began exhibiting intermittent shaking, rumbling, swaying, wobbling, and lateral instability. The condition is most noticeable at highway speeds and after bumps or other road disturbances, although it has also occurred at lower speeds. At times, the vehicle continues swaying after the initial disturbance has passed. Wind or passing vehicles may amplify the movement, but it also occurs without those factors. Both front lower control arms were replaced. Both front struts were later found bent and replaced. The vehicle has undergone multiple inspections, alignments, balancing attempts, adjustments, and road tests without a satisfactory diagnosis or lasting correction. Rear-suspension concerns included uneven appearance, a rear coil spring that appeared incorrectly oriented, and replacement of the rear-driver strut. The vehicle has also been operated with three Goodyear Reliant 91V tires and one Arroyo 94Y XL tire. The dealership documented differences in sidewall construction and measured circumference between the mismatched tire and the other three. The vehicle was returned with unequal tire pressures, which I documented and corrected to the specified cold pressure of 32 PSI. I gave the dealership descriptions of the driving conditions and multiple suggested diagnostic routes and testing options. I authorized extended road testing, including a technician taking the vehicle home. The dealership adjusted steer-ahead and reset the steering-angle system, but returned the vehicle without identifying the cause of the instability. Immediately after pickup and during subsequent driving to work, daycare, and home, the rumble and occasional sway remained, although less severe. On August 17, 2026, at approximately 120,630 miles, the rumble and intermittent sway remained present. I also noticed an intermittent light metallic rattle and possible passenger-side hum

My 2023 Hyundai Elantra Hybrid has has defective windshield washer nozzles 2 times so far. The factory nozzles clogged and had to be replaced. Then I got replacements installed under warranty by the local dealership. Those are now clogged exactly the same as the originals. The replacement nozzles failed much faster than the factory original equipment parts did. I am only using standard washer fluid. The fluid was tested by the dealership and is normal. Even high pressure compressed air can’t get through the nozzles at all. I am having a second replacement set ordered as of today. I suggest a recall or redesign of these defective nozzles. If you are driving just after it has rained and a passing vehicle hits a puddle and splashes dirty water all over your windshield you have no way to spray it off and clean it, so you can’t see where you are going at all. This is a major safety issue and will definitely cause an accident in such circumstances. It has been raining in my area several days per week for the past couple of months. There is lots of construction and road construction in many areas, so there is lots of dirt/mud after each rain on the roads. This creates a potentially dangerous and possibly life-ending situation if you are driving, get your windshield splashed with muddy water and can’t spray it off to clear it and can’t see where you are going suddenly, while you are on a highway. If you can’t see through the windshield you can’t even see if it is safe to pull off to the side of the road or not. These windshield nozzles need an emergency redesign and recall issued.

For the second time in two years, my horn suddenly stopped working. About 6 months after purchasing the car, the horn began to sound high pitched. Then about three weeks later the horn stopped working, requiring the replacement of the horn. A month later, the horn sounded high pitched again. Hyundai advised me the horn is a "two-horn system" in which a high pitch and low pitch horn produce the horn noise. The low pitch keeps failing. About 4 months after the horn was only sounding a high pitched sound, the horn stopped when I hit the horn to avoid an oncoming driver.
