On December 2nd 2024, I was driving my lovely 2022 Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid to home. All of a sudden, my car started shaking and popped out the engine sign light and other lights on the dashboard. Car moved straight up to about a distance of 50 meters and stopped on the rod side. This incident happened on the residential street not on the Highway. I could have been killed if this incident had happened on the Highway. I feel I’m lucky and blessed because I’m alive today. But car is still in Hyundai car dealership under repair. Hopefully my car repair cost will get covered under manufacture warranty. Hopefully, the whole measures for the engine defects or improvements team of Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid manufacturing engineers may be taken relook or recall so that thousands if not millions of drivers driving Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid may be in safe in the near future. Forward collision warning light appears on, when there is no noticeable event immediately. "Glitch-like" flash across the dashboard appears. Vehicle continues to display wheel misalignment after two alignment procedures, values indicate possible safety concern.

The Auto Hold and EPB orange warning lights have been a recurring problem with our 2022 Hyundai Ioniq. We first noticed the car exhibit a jerky/jolting hesitation after accelerating from a complete stop which was reported to the dealership with confirmed paperwork at ~52K miles. The Auto Hold and EPB orange warning lights have been documented via photographs and video on been active at mileage ~58K and 72K, but the dealership could not reproduce (or scan the codes?) the warning light signature or jerking motion. Additionally, the car indicated that is was trying to either activate or deactivate the Auto Hold function even when the car was in motion and is never turned utilized by any driver of the vehicle. Even though this problem was described as hazardous and may cause the brakes to lock leading to an accident. Finally at ~88K miles the dealership was capable of properly diagnosing the problem and replaced the left rear caliper with CPB motor.

I was in an accident on October 7, 2022. There was almost $5,000 in damage. Repairs were made, but several repairs were left unattended and I am put at risk of safety. The Seat Tracking was out of alignment and could not be verified by mechanic, although it was verified by the body shop. The Forward Collison Warning light comes on intermittently, as do other gauge lights, after the accident.

Stopped in a right turn lane with a vehicle in front of me stopped. It 1as a right turn with a yield sign. The vehicle in front of me started turning and pulling away, I rolled forward at about 8mph and looked left. The vehicle that was in front of me had stopped after beginning to pull away. I didn't notice. I rear ended the vehicle a white newer body style town and country mini van set up with a rear wheel chair ramp like the Braun style vans. My right front of bumper close to the emblem on the hood contacted the left rear bumper of the van. I'd say the whole left side of emblem over to edge of vehicle. No airbag deployment. But the forward collision warning didn't go off and the AEB SYSTEM also did not engage. The system seems to be functioning properly. There is no warning lights on the dash. And the system has activated before, both the forward collision warning and the AEB. The following day while turning around on a dead ened street, the forward collision warning engaged the chime whenni got close to another vehicle. The system has engage early before, the dealer checked for codes a long time ago after complaining about early.or false engagements. The vehicle is stated to be inspected by hyundai this week. The current mileage is 49,000. The vehicle has never been in an accident before this. It is going in to check the electronic parking brake system as we have had faults in the auto hold system where it faults and stops working and a light does come on the dash, but doesn't store codes and resets when you cycle the key off and back on. It's been scheduled to go in before the accident. This system is in place to help stop forward collisions with pedestrians, vehicles and other objects. It failed. It could have injured someone or killed them. I also have dashcam video of the incident if this gets for enough for an investigation, I can email it.
