I was stopped at a stoplight, waiting to turn left. The light turned green I slowly engaged the accelerator. All occupants in the car felt the car jolt forward then the fault alarms went off. I was able to continue to drive the car safely and returned home. This is the second time this has happened within the last 30 days. The first time the vehicle bricked on me, it was towed to the Jaguar dealership in Tacoma Washington. There they reset the vehicle defaults disappeared, and it was returned to me. The first time this happened, I was turning into a parking lot and parked in a parking space. At that time the car would not go into park. I turned the vehicle off and turned it back on again. It remained in gear however the vehicle was not moving. It would not let me start it and I was unable to drive it.

Is 58 complaints a lot? They were filed between 2021 and 2026, roughly 11 a year, which is more than the typical model in this dataset. We do not have sales figures for this model, so treat this as a rough volume, not a rate per car on the road. Popular, high-volume models naturally collect more complaints over time.

How does it compare with other years? The 2020 has 58 complaints on file, fewer than the 2019 (148) and more than the 2024 (21). Of the 3 model years of the Jaguar I-Pace we cover, the 2019 has the most (148). Older model years have had longer to collect complaints.
