Built from NHTSA complaints and recalls collected for this model, generated September 21, 2026. Totals reflect what has been collected, not every complaint ever filed.

Recalls

0 total

Safety issues the manufacturer must repair for free. A recall means confirm the fix was done, not walk away.

No recalls on record for this model

No safety recalls were found in this dataset. It is still worth entering the exact VIN on NHTSA before purchase, since recalls can be added at any time.

The Vehicle has a lack of power in electric mode and stalls when the engine turns on to run on gas power. This is causing merging issues or ramping up to speed to enter the highway. When trying to quickly turn or avoid being hit by an oncoming traffic when you floor the accelerator, it lags and doesn’t engage power to quickly move out of the way. You have to be in gas mode for a quick response. This happens all the time.

When in electric mode, after driving about 5 miles, it will suddenly drop power and not accelerate. After 5-10 seconds the engine will turn on. It's in the 5-10 seconds that is a safety concern because it can happen at any time, merging into traffic, or other time when acceleration is necessary to avoid a collision. I've talked to my dealership and they say it's normal because there are no engine codes.

My year 2024 jeep had severe "death wobble" when driving over 60mph just over a minor bump, and it was over the horizontal metal rails on a long bridge. Dealership just replaced the steering damper, the car still loses control over small bumps when driving over 60mph. It's really scary when the bump happens at a curve on freeway. The dealership refuses to look over any other possible causes but to charge me $200 for tire balancing. My car has never taken the off road and never hit anything before. My previous 2009 jeep NEVER had death wobble issues with normal driving.

Component/System That Failed: The airbag system, forward-collision sensors, and collision-warning/braking system failed. Despite a severe frontal crash, no airbags deployed and no warning or automatic braking occurred. The Bosch Crash Data Report shows abnormal sensor spikes (up to +52g), inconsistent Delta-V readings, and failures in object detection (“No Object” recorded before impact). The components remain available for inspection through the body shop and insurer. Safety Risk: My family and I were injured because the vehicle provided no warning, no crash avoidance, and no airbag deployment during a major impact requiring a full frame replacement. This failure places all Jeep 4XE drivers at risk of severe injury or death in similar conditions. Has the Problem Been Reproduced? The problem occurred unexpectedly during the crash and cannot be safely reproduced. However, Stellantis’s inspection did not explain the sensor irregularities or system failures. Vehicle Inspections: The vehicle has been inspected by Stellantis (File 94277361), my insurance company, and the collision repair center. Stellantis claimed “insufficient deceleration,” which contradicts the severity of damage, sensor data irregularities, and the fact that the other vehicle’s airbags deployed. Warning Lamps/Symptoms Before Failure: For weeks before the crash, the Jeep produced false crash warnings, beeping, and forward-collision alerts with no obstacles present. During the actual impact, all warnings stopped, and the system failed completely. This sudden shift from false alarms to total silence suggests a sensor or module defect. Urgency: Multiple active recalls already affect this vehicle line. I fear this Jeep is unsafe to drive even after repairs. I am requesting NHTSA’s urgent assistance and investigation into this failure to prevent further injuries.

I am reporting a recurring structural failure of the Sky One-Touch power top assembly on my 2024 Jeep Wrangler. Since August 28, 2024, the vehicle has been out of service for a cumulative total of 62 business days across seven separate repair attempts. Safety Risk: The failure involves the tensioning system and internal springs of the power top. The defect has progressed to the point that visible daylight is present through the gaps between the roof assembly and the vehicle body while the top is fully closed. At highway speeds (55–70 mph), this gap causes the roof to lift and oscillate significantly. This creates a severe driver distraction and poses an unreasonable risk of the assembly further destabilizing or detaching from the vehicle while in motion, endangering occupants and trailing traffic. Dealer Misconduct & Repair History: During the third repair attempt, a service associate confirmed the loss of tension in the straps and springs. However, the technician subsequently refused to document these findings. The dealership omitted from their report to Stellantis that they performed unauthorized 'readjustments' and 'screwed the assembly back in' to temporarily mask the defect. This deceptive reporting prevents an accurate warranty history and deliberately avoids Lemon Law accountability. Despite these 'fixes,' the structural seal remains compromised. The vehicle is currently unsafe for highway operation."

My Jeep has had a recall since December 2025. I initially went to Burgaw, NC Dealership where I Leased my Jeep, with no luck. I made appointment They did not have the part. I was told they would call when it is available. I checked in every month , no part. I called the recall line in the summer 2026 and they made me an appointment at National Dodge in Jacksonville, NCthe first week of August. When I arrived for my scheduled appointment I was told they could not accommodate my appointment because it takes 5 hours. Holdridge Greene made another appointment for me for the following week on [XXX]. He also said he would be able to put me in a car so I wouldn't miss another entire day of work. I showed up and was told they could not help me that day because there were no cars, but they would call and reschedule as soon as possible. It is now [XXX] and no contact has been made. I would love to have my Jeep fixed as it has been affected by these recalls and issues have occurred. Any help is greatly appreciated! Is 693 complaints a lot? They were filed between 2023 and 2026, roughly 232 a year, which is more than the typical model in this dataset. We do not have sales figures for this model, so treat this as a rough volume, not a rate per car on the road. Popular, high-volume models naturally collect more complaints over time.
