The failure resulted in loss of braking assistance from the trailer. The contact pulled over and repaired the wiring which allowed the contact to drive the trailer back to the residence. The trailer was not taken to a local dealer. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and the contact was awaiting a response. The failure mileage was unknown.
