Safety issues the manufacturer must repair for free. A recall means confirm the fix was done, not walk away.

No recalls on record for this model

No safety recalls were found in this dataset. It is still worth entering the exact VIN on NHTSA before purchase, since recalls can be added at any time.

Unsatisfactory Review for 2025 Range Rover SE I purchased a 2025 Range Rover SE in November 2024 for nearly $200,000, expecting a luxury vehicle with reliability to match its price tag. Unfortunately, my experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. In December 2024, just one month after purchase, the vehicle completely died while I was driving on the highway—a terrifying and unacceptable failure for a brand-new car. The vehicle was towed to the dealership, where it has remained ever since. What has made this experience even worse is Range Rover’s appalling customer service. The company’s “repurchasing” agreement process, which I initiated nearly two months ago, is lengthy, convoluted, and appears designed to disadvantage the customer at every step. Despite repeated attempts to get answers, there has been no clear timeline for resolution, no updates from anyone with decision-making authority, and absolutely no way to escalate the matter to management. For a vehicle in this price range, I expected premium customer care, but what I’ve received is the opposite: silence, frustration, and the sense that Range Rover cares more about protecting itself than making things right for its customers. Until Range Rover makes significant improvements to the reliability of its vehicles and its customer service, I cannot recommend this brand to anyone. Buyers beware—you may end up with a luxury-priced lemon and no way to resolve it.

On the morning of [XXX] my wife was driving her 2025 Range Rover a short distance when an electrical fault came on the dash reading "stop safely Electrical fault detected". Upon turning into our driveway right after that warning came up, a variety of other warnings came on the dash including a transmission overheat warning. The car then started losing electrical functions and as she pulled into the garage. The vehicle was half way in the garage, my wife pressed the park button and tried to exit the vehicle. She was not aware that the park function no longer worked and that the car had completely lost all power and functions. The vehicle began rolling backwards due to the grade of the garage and she had to try to physically stop the vehicle or it would crush her between the door and garage. After attempting to physically stop it she realized she couldn't and jumped back in the car and applied the brakes. Her back was injured in the process of trying to hold the vehicle from rolling. She called me and had to sit in the vehicle for 20 minutes until I could get home to chock the wheels and get her out of the car. Zeigler Land Rover out of Schaumburg is where the vehicle was purchased new in November. When I reached out to them they claimed they never had this issue before. The dealership repeatedly asked my wife and I in seperate text messages "if we could describe where the smoke came from". No smoke was ever seen or reported from either of us. The supplied a Range Rover Sport loaner vehicle a few days after our Range Rover was picked up. They continued to tell me that they have never seen this issue before and are working with Land Rover to try and identify it. On Tuesday [XXX] the loaner vehicle displayed the same message "stop safely, electrical fault detected". She parked the vehicle and hasn't driven it since. The dealership didn't seem concerned with this happening again and brought us yet another loaner. No progress has been made on our car. At 613 miles, this 2025 Land Rover Range Rover SE experienced simultaneous brake fluid loss from the rear right wheel area, partial loss of engine power, and multiple warning lights including “Stability Control Not Available” and “Restricted Performance.” The vehicle required emergency flatbed towing. DFW Land Rover Dealer inspection identified damage at two points on the brake line near the rear right wheel. The damage shows longitudinal abrasion scoring along the line consistent with chafing against a vehicle component during normal operation, not external impact. The underbody shield in the same area shows no deformation or penetration that would be expected from an external object. The vehicle has been driven only in normal urban conditions with no incidents, off-road use, or known impacts. The dealership has attributed the damage to external influence despite no supporting physical evidence. Warranty coverage has been denied pending escalation to Land Rover North America. A brake line failure of this nature at highway speed could result in catastrophic brake loss and serious injury.

windshield, I cracked my 3rd windshield in 18 months and approx 7 windshields in 10 years. I replace this vehicle annually with the identical make and model range rover. The smallest stone chips the windshield and the chip turns into long cracks across the windshield within hours to a couple of days. I have alerted Land Rover to this.

The second-row power seat latching and folding mechanism on a 2025 Land Rover Range Rover repeatedly malfunctions, fails to lock in place, and unlatches while driving. An active dashboard warning displays: "Do not use rear left and centre seats until latched." On multiple occasions, the seat mechanism has lifted up unexpectedly, nearly crushing the legs of a child seated in the second row. Because child car seats are installed in the second row, the failure of the seat frame to latch creates a serious risk of occupant injury or ejection in a sudden stop or collision. The vehicle has been brought to an authorized Land Rover franchised dealership four separate times for this exact defect between April 2025 and January 2026. The dealership confirmed and reproduced the defect on every visit. Dealership technicians have broken stuck latches, replaced inner and outer latch kits multiple times under Techline advisories, re-torqued loose seat mounting bolts, and recalibrated seat control modules. In their official service records, the dealership explicitly stated: "DO NOT USE SECOND ROW LEFT AND MIDDLE SECTION FOR ANY PASSENGERS IN UNLATCHED STATE." Despite these four repair attempts, the seat latch mechanism continues to fail, the warning message remains active during operation, and the defect remains unresolved. The vehicle and components are available for inspection upon request, and all dealer repair orders, diagnostic logs, and photo/video evidence of the failure are available.

Is 9 complaints a lot? They were filed between 2025 and 2026, roughly 6 a year, which is more than the typical model in this dataset. We do not have sales figures for this model, so treat this as a rough volume, not a rate per car on the road. Popular, high-volume models naturally collect more complaints over time.
