The contact stated upon dumping a load of graveling on the trailer, he heard a loud banging sound and he noticed that the hitch fractured, causing the trailer to roll down and crash into the escalator it was attached to. The dealer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to take the hitch to their location so they could ship it to the manufacturer for testing. The contact stated the dealer replaced the hitch with a standard locking hitch. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and advised the dealer that no issues were found upon testing the hitch.
