Vehicle has 43,000 miles and the radiator has failed. Engine light goes off and on about high engine temperature and limits acceleration. Lost acceleration on freeway and was forced to get off on the freeway shoulder. The temperature gauge jumps from normal to high. Engine was extremely hot and potentially a burn hazard when I opened the hood. I've researched Mazda CX-90 owner's online forums and this radiator failure is happening to the 2024 model with several owners just out of warranty stating leaks spraying engine area. My vehicle has the same green coolant spray dried on the water hoses that many other owners have experienced.

Our 2024 Mazda CX-90 has experienced the same significant malfunction on two separate occasions while being driven on busy public roads. The vehicle displayed an “Acceleration Limited Due to Battery Condition” warning and experienced significantly reduced/limited acceleration while driving. This put the occupants and other motorists at risk because the vehicle could not accelerate normally in traffic. A similar occurrence while merging, crossing an intersection, or traveling in heavy traffic could potentially result in a collision. The vehicle has been taken to an authorized Mazda dealership twice for the same issue and has been out of service for approximately six cumulative weeks. The vehicle is currently at the authorized Mazda dealership and is available for inspection. The dealership has been made aware of and is attempting to diagnose/repair the recurring condition. The exact component or system responsible for the failure is currently UNKNOWN. The issue recurred after the vehicle was previously returned to us following the first repair attempt. Prior to/during the failure, the vehicle displayed the warning message “Acceleration Limited Due to Battery Condition.” Any additional warning lamps, diagnostic codes, or underlying component failures are currently UNKNOWN and are being investigated by the Mazda dealership. Additionally, while our 2024 CX-90 was at the dealership, we were provided a separate 2026 Mazda CX-90 as a loaner vehicle. While that vehicle was being driven on a main public road, it suddenly lost all power. The steering wheel and pedals became locked or unresponsive, leaving the driver unable to normally control the vehicle while it was in traffic. Fortunately, a collision did not occur. The 2026 vehicle was returned to the Mazda dealership and is available for inspection. The exact cause of that failure is currently UNKNOWN. The contact owns a 2024 Mazda CX-90. The contact stated that while her husband was driving 70 MPH with the cruise control activated, her husband attempted to deactivate the cruise control before exiting the highway; however, the cruise control failed to deactivate. The brake pedal was depressed, but the brakes failed to stop the vehicle. The contact's husband exited the highway and drove into the median to avoid crashing with other vehicles. The driver turned the steering wheel, causing the vehicle to flip and then slam into the ground, fracturing both axles. The cruise control then deactivated. The contact stated that only the front driver's side air bags deployed. The driver suffered hip and arm bruises, while the contact suffered a lump on the head, and as bruises on the collarbone and arm. The driver received medical attention at the scene, but the contact declined. A Police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a tow yard but had not yet been declared a total loss by the insurance company. The contact stated that prior to the failure, the message "Trailer Attached in Tow Mode" was displayed and the vehicle was taken to the dealer, who replaced the wiring harness due to corrosion. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 15,000.

My main complaint is the steering system. They had the recall fixed at a Mazda dealer in Tennessee before I purchased it. My steering wheel always seem to be crooked I took it to the dealer for an alignment that did not fix the issue of the car going side to side. I took it to three other shops for alignments and the car still seems to go in different directions no matter how correct they get the steering wheel. I also took the car to the dealership about the AC system making loud rattling like a can of nuts and bolts. I had five videos of the issue and let them see them and listen to them they had the car for approximately 32 days and returned it and told me there was no problem. While they had the car I had four different loaners 2025 and 2026 models and none of these models had any of the problems that my 2024 had. They were quiet and there were no issues with the steering rack. My arms actually get tired steering this car down the road because it always wants to go in a different direction it is not a hard steer is very subtle but it keeps you correcting the steering wheel from left to right the entire trip. After returning my car after a month of having it the AC was blowing very poorly and I took it back again. They evacuated the system and recharged it which seem to help however, now it seems to blow cold and then go back to warm sometimes blowing cold or if the car is just parked rather than going down the road. There have not been any warning lights or issues other than the general feel of the car wanting to go side to side when you get it going in a straight direction it wants to almost purposely go to the right or go to the left and then when you correct it it wants to go back to where it was it is very subtle. Lastly there are issues with the blind spot monitoring. In my previous Mazda it worked flawlessly and never falsely alerted me. However in this car the cx90 fails to notify me or sometimes notifies me when I'm sitting still next to a tree.

While the vehicle was being driven under normal operating conditions, the driver's front seatbelt lower lap anchor completely broke loose and separated from the lower vehicle frame sill. The structural metal anchor plate at the end of the belt is now swinging completely free, and the plastic door-sill trim molding at the base of the door opening is completely broken from the force of the separation, exposing the underlying wiring. Because the primary safety restraint system completely failed and detached from the vehicle body, the vehicle was immediately deemed unsafe to drive and was towed directly to Westshore Mazda in Tampa, Florida for inspection

When turning on the heater or AC, the car blows out a coolant smell out of the vents. It does it every time the heat is turned on or switched over to AC. We have another appointment with the dealership to have this looked at, as well as many other issues we're having with this vehicle.
