A QUICK GOOLE SEARCH SHOWS THIS IS A KNOWN FAILURE IN THE WATER PUMP OF THE TURBO COOLER - THE ELECTRIC AUXILIARY WATER PUMP THAT COOLS THE TURBOCHARGER HAS AN ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT BOARD THAT CAN MALFUNCTION AND OVERHEAT. HOWEVER, MY VEHICLE WAS NEVER RECALLED, AND MINI NEVER SENT OUT ANY NOTICE THAT THIS WAS A POSSIBILITY.
