I drive a leased 2024 Porsche Macan that has been serviced exclusively by Porsche of [XXX]. In May 2026, I brought the vehicle in because the engine was revving/racing while I was driving locally at slow to normal speeds. I also reported that the vehicle initiated sudden collision-avoidance braking when no vehicles or obstacles were present. I was told no problem could be found or replicated. On the morning of XXX while driving about 25–30 mph, the engine again began revving loudly and continued even while I was stopped at a traffic light. This was the same issue I had reported in May. At the next light, I shifted into Park and then back into Drive; the revving temporarily subsided. I stopped briefly at a drive-through pharmacy and then drove directly home. As I pulled into my driveway with my foot on the brake, the vehicle suddenly accelerated sharply on its own and struck my home, causing significant damage to the house and vehicle. Smoke came from the front of the vehicle. Because I live in an attached home and my neighbors were inside, I attempted to back the vehicle a few feet away. With my foot on the brake, I shifted into Reverse, and the vehicle again accelerated sharply, traveling backward at high speed into the street. I steered away from a parked car and a brick wall, pulled the emergency brake, and shut off the vehicle. I exited and called 911. Police arrived within minutes, photographed the scene, and arranged for the vehicle to be towed because it was blocking the street. This vehicle has had unexplained problems repeatedly, yet I was told they could not be replicated. No one was physically injured, but this incident could easily have killed or seriously injured me, a pedestrian, another driver, or a child. I live next to a park and school. I believe this vehicle presents a serious safety risk and should not be returned to service without a complete investigation. While driving on a major highway ([XXX]) at over 60 MPH, we had a complete and catastrophic system wide shut down of our vehicle, culminating in our car grinding to a halt. This entire process elapsed over a 15-20 second period. We barely were able to get our vehicle to the "left" shoulder along the median of the highway where we had to sit for over 75 minutes with oncoming traffic racing past us until 911 arrived to tow us. It was a life-threatening situation where we were virtual "sitting ducks" without any means to remove ourselves from harms way. The car was immovable and unresponsive. We tried to restart the car with the assistance of our Porsche Dealer but nothing worked. We had no choice but to pray for our safety. We have completely documented our experience: photos, videos and phone calls with 911. When the car malfunctioned, it seemed that every alert in the car's computer system flashed in serial fashion - Engine Control Error, P Button Defective, E Sound Error, Lane Assistance Malfunction, Electrical Parking Brake Error. It should be noted that we have had the car for less than two years and have logged a little over 11,000 miles driven. Ultimately, we were towed by flat bed to the nearest Porsche Dealer in White Plains where the car is parked. We left a message for the service department at the Dealer telling them who we are, what happened and to call us before they begin an inspection. Collion Warning alarm came on with full application of brakes with no vehicles in front or behind. No onward traffic either. Visibility was clear, and driving conditions good. Driving at 35-40 mph. Informed dealer three times (and three different individuals) on December 31 and despite a bevy of promises they have taken no action. Placed warning on Macan.com and several other (purported) owners claimed to have experienced an identical issue. This is self-evidently highly dangerous. Steering Gear. It has been replaced and is not available to inspect. I was unable to turn the steering wheel and had an auto accident as a result. The dealer inspected the vehicle and replaced the steering gear under warranty. It is probable that the defective gear was sent by the dealer to the manufacturer to inspect. The warning lamps activated after the accident.

The dashboard has a clear outline of the passenger side airbag and the seam is ripping which is the structural/interior area. I took it to Porsche on June 24, 2026 and they are replacing the dashboard as of today August 17, 2026 they are telling me the dashboard will be here September 28, 2026. They are also claiming this isn't a safety issue. When it clearly is. This appears to the same issue as the 2022–2023 Porsche 911 dashboard/airbag recall (NHTSA campaign ANB7) involving the exact same core issue: the adhesive bonding between the leather dashboard cover and the passenger airbag lid/chute. I have told them I am not taking the car back until the new dashboard arrives as I do not feel safe. They don't seem happy about that response.

The car has a burning rubber order when driven intermittently, with smoke coming from the vents. This has been evaluated by Porsche Silver Spring 3 times June, October, November of 2025. June dealer unable to reproduce, October they reproduced it and replaced a heater. The problem has persisted but in November and December they dealer has been unable to reproduce on their test drive.
