I am filing a complaint regarding manufacturer non-compliance and dealership refusal to execute safety Recall 59C (NHTSA Campaign 25V552) on my 2019-2021 Ram ProMaster (Thor Scope 18m Class B RV upfit). The authorized dealership is refusing to perform a non-destructive repair on the vehicle, demanding instead to dismantle the built-in RV living space/bathroom structure at unknown risk and liability to the owner. Over a month ago, the dealership attempted to circumvent federal recall regulations by pressuring me to accept the uninstalled, loose backup camera hardware over the counter, which I refused due to liability. The dealership is currently withholding my VIN-assigned safety remedy part and refusing service. The Stellantis corporate supervisor assigned to my case has been unresponsive and has failed to coordinate a part transfer to a competent facility capable of utilizing a non-destructive borescope/fishing method to complete the recall. I am requesting federal intervention to compel Stellantis to transfer my safety hardware and provide the dealership the extra time to execute this recall safely and without cost to the consumer."

My unit is a 2022 Thor Scope 18M Class B RV built on a RAM Promaster 1500 chassis. The problem is not with the chassis but the build by Thor. The solar panel on the roof is not secure and the aluminum panel is ripping through the bolts. I caught mine early and only one bolt ripped through, however, there are several reports on the THOR Rize/Scope Owners (Future Owners and WannaBees) Facebook page where the panel attachment failed and the solar panel came off the van while driving.

The contact owns a 2021 Ram 1500 Promaster. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V068000 (Equipment) regarding the awning. The recall remedy had been completed at General RV Center (1577 Wells Rd, Orange Park, FL 32073). The contact stated that after having the recall repair completed, while driving less than 10 MPH, the contact heard the rotation sound indicating that the awning had deployed, landing into a tree and causing permanent damage to the awning. The contact had taken to the awning to the awning company and the dealer. The awning company had not provided any assistance or repair. While taking the vehicle to the dealer it was confirmed that the awning needed to be replaced; however, the vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 35,000.

Is 4 complaints a lot? They were filed between 2022 and 2026, roughly 1 a year, which is fewer than the typical model in this dataset. We do not have sales figures for this model, so treat this as a rough volume, not a rate per car on the road. Popular, high-volume models naturally collect more complaints over time.
