The contact owns a 2021 Piaggio Vespa Primavera. The contact stated that while approaching a stop light at 35 MPH, the front brake lever failed to operate without warning. The contact needed additional brake travel time to stop the vehicle with the rear brake lever. The contact was able to drive the motorcycle home despite the brake failure. The dealer was notified of the failure; however, he was unable to make an appointment to have the vehicle serviced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 700.

I have taken this bike to the dealer as the wheel is defective. They even mentioned that this is a known issue and i fear for my safety. I have inquired with several other owners of similar vehicles and they stated this is a known issue from Vespa. I inquired with the manufacturer as well and they state the bike is out of warranty and they will not do anything, even though they know it is a faulty part. I feel as though something should be done about this with the knowledge they produced a motor vehicle with defective parts.
