The contact owns a 2025 Volkswagen ID Buzz. The contact stated that while the daughter was turning right onto a curb to park and lifting her foot off the brake pedal, the vehicle suddenly experienced unintended acceleration and crashed into the rear of another parked Honda vehicle, pushing the Honda vehicle approximately eight feet during the impact. During the crash, the vehicle experienced severe front-end damage, but the air bags did not deploy. The collision avoidance also did not engage. The contact zip-tied the grill onto the vehicle in order to replicate the failure the next day. No injuries were reported, and a police report was filed online. The contact indicated that the touch buttons on the steering wheel were easily activated and sensitive to touch, which may have caused the vehicle to erroneously accelerate. The local dealer was notified of the failure and offered to look into a resolution. In addition, the dealer mentioned that in similar cases, vehicles were bought back. The manufacturer was not yet contacted. The cause of the failure was not determined. The failure mileage was 100.

Twice now, my center touch screen display has failed to operate upon startup. Restarting the vehicle does not fix the problem. The problem is not able to be replicated for the dealer as it happens at random(twice over 13,000 miles). No warnings predicated the error, nor would they be displayable since the screen is off. The vehicle is able to be driven under the error. The backup camera is not usable under the error making for a very dangerous error. The voice assistant does not function under the error(a potential alternative method of accessing the controls that are lost when the screen is in error). Under the second error event, the driver display additionally did not turn on. The vehicle would allow me to drive but did not display speed, gear selection, miles, or any warnings. Drive, Reverse, Park, turn signals, horn, all lighting, regenerative braking and windshield wipers were tested and were functional. All HVAC controls are only accessible through the screen. Under the second error event it was raining and I was unable access those controls to defrost the front windshield. After the vehicle sits in the off position for 30 minutes, the error vanishes.

I am reporting a safety concern involving my 2025 Volkswagen ID. Buzz Pro S RWD. While reversing at approximately 3 mph out of a parking spot, the vehicle suddenly and automatically applied the brakes with extreme force even though there was no obstacle behind the vehicle and no apparent reason for emergency braking. The stop was so abrupt that it felt as though the vehicle had struck a solid object and caused the occupants to experience whiplash-like movement. The braking appears to have been caused by the vehicle's Maneuver Braking/parking collision-avoidance system. This was not simply a warning or normal parking-assistance intervention; the vehicle unexpectedly brought itself to a violent stop. I am concerned that false activation of this system creates its own safety hazard. An unexpected full-force stop while maneuvering could injure occupants, cause a driver to lose control of the situation, or create a collision risk with another vehicle or road user who is not expecting the vehicle to stop suddenly. There was no visible obstacle that would explain the intervention. It's possible the camera system was confused by some shade during a sunny day. I believe this incident should be investigated as a potential defect involving false activation of the automatic braking system on the Volkswagen ID. Buzz.

My vehicles power doors have become exponentially more difficult to open since new in manual mode. I am now not able to open the rear door manually without throwing my weight into it, and my children cannot do it in assisted. I have confirmed with my dealer and a floor unit that the door is infact more difficult to open in manual mode vs power assist. This concerns me because in the event of an accident my children may not be able to evacuate the rear of the car unassisted. VW confirmed there is nothing to be done at the time because “ the rear door is designed to be only operated automatically” and will not investigate until the door motor fails. I believe this is a serious flaw in the design.

I am writing to express my concern regarding the car manual provided for my Volkswagen. The current manual is abridged, which makes it challenging to understand all of the car's functions. This lack of comprehensive instructions can be particularly difficult and unsafe, especially when attempting to operate certain features while driving. A fully unabridged manual would greatly assist in understanding how to properly use all functions of the car.

Is 14 complaints a lot? They were filed between 2025 and 2026, roughly 12 a year, which is more than the typical model in this dataset. We do not have sales figures for this model, so treat this as a rough volume, not a rate per car on the road. Popular, high-volume models naturally collect more complaints over time.
