Labor Day weekend I was two hours away from home. Before leaving town my automatic collision breaking system decided to go off and start breaking. There was absolutely no one in front of me. The entire weekend about seven or eight times my vehicle put me in extreme danger going at all speeds putting myself in my Assistan danger of dying and flying through the windshield. When I got back to town and made an appointment at North Freeway, Hyundai in Spring they lied and claimed there was front and damage and that the bracket was loose. I have absolutely no front end damage I have included pictures for some reason if they don’t work your system is having issues. Their pictures they took are completely blown out and white and look like it needs an exorcism. I have clear photos of my vehicle there was absolutely no incident or damaged to have any issues with my vehicle . I have been an extreme danger and had to turn it off in order to drive home. I have made several attempts to contact the service manager and he cannot be bothered to contact me it is apparently above him and his Pay grade. I have contacted Hyundai personally and they are working on it on their end but overall it’s up to the dealership

1/28/2026 Son was driving in a parking lot when all of a sudden, with no prior warning signs, the steering wheel locked up and he could not turn. Fortunately he was able to stop the vehicle; otherwise, it would have hit into other cars and he could have been injured. And fortunately this did not take place on a freeway. Hyundai service center located DCTS: C168806, C168886, and C240162. Replaced MPDS motor and ECU.

This vehicle has had an open recall for seat belts for over a year. We have had issues with the seat belts and stated that to our local hyundai shop in Farmington, NM multiple times. Even when the car has been in for other things. The only thing they can tell us is that the seatbelts are on backorder and they do not know when they will be in. Then they give us a print out stating the vehicle has an open recall. Like really, we know that you can't seem to fix it. My daughter who should still be in a booster seat is unable to use a booster due to the seat belts coming undone sometimes when buckling them if we use a booster. I feel like with a safety recall like this, if you can't get the seat belts in the cars that are already on the road, mabe the manufacturer does not need to be producing new cars as they too require seat belts. I put in the most recent date we were told the belts were on order in the date occurred.

The sunroof spontaneously broke while driving on the interstate at an estimated speed of 70 mph. There was no severe weather issues or traffic issues. Glass did make it into the car, in both the drivers and passenger seat. Unsure if it made it to the back seat where a [XXX] baby was in a car seat. Called McCarthy Hyundai and they told us to take it somewhere else that it was not under warranty. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The 3rd row power seats do not always recognize something or someone sitting there and will continue to fold down. After seeing the reports of a little girl passing away we wanted to test our 3rd row power seats. We placed a car seat in the 3rd row and it did recognize that and stopped folding. Next, I sat in the seat and my husband pushed the fold button and it kept trying to fold down on me until I pushed back with a good amount of force, a child would not be able to prevent the chair from stopping. Last, we placed a large stuffed animal and buckled it in and hit the power button and it completely folded down on top of it. I have reached out to my local dealership 4/16 and had a service advisor confirm my car to be impacted by this problem. They did offer a loaner car until there was a remedy in place. This issue does not currently show up on a list of recalls however which is very concerning.

Is 305 complaints a lot? They were filed between 2021 and 2026, roughly 61 a year, which is more than the typical model in this dataset. We do not have sales figures for this model, so treat this as a rough volume, not a rate per car on the road. Popular, high-volume models naturally collect more complaints over time.

How does it compare with other years? The 2022 has 305 complaints on file, fewer than the 2021 (434) and fewer than the 2023 (398). Of the 7 model years of the Hyundai Palisade we cover, the 2020 has the most (533). Older model years have had longer to collect complaints.
