After slowing to make a right or left turn, pressing on the accelarrator causes no response for ten to fifteen seconds. This proble seems to be in numerous Palisades for 2023 to 2026. Numerous message boards have reports of this issue with the dealer not being able to repair the problem. I myself almost gor into an accident due to this issue.

To Whom It May Concern, I am writing regarding multiple recalls affecting my 2025 Hyundai Palisade, specifically related to the electrical harness and ongoing safety concerns. Since purchasing the vehicle from a Hyundai dealership in [XXX] , I have experienced repeated issues. Initially, dashboard lights activated randomly while driving, followed by connectivity problems and a malfunctioning trunk. In February, the vehicle required full disassembly to replace the electrical harness, which disrupted a planned family trip. I was provided a Hyundai Elantra loaner, which was not suitable for my family of five, causing a two-week inconvenience. Additionally, the dealership failed to complete a scheduled oil change, requiring me to return. Shortly after, I received another recall notice involving third-row safety concerns during a rollover. Given that a fatality has already been associated with this issue, I am extremely concerned about the safety of this vehicle, especially as I transport my three young children daily. The vehicle’s multiple recalls, safety risks, and extensive repairs have significantly reduced its value and reliability. I am also currently waiting on an airbag cap, but was informed on March 27, 2026, that the part received was incorrect, causing further delays. This has been my first Hyundai purchase, and it has been a frustrating and disappointing experience. The vehicle no longer feels new and appears to be unreliable due to ongoing defects. As of March 28, 2026, I am requesting the option to trade in the vehicle at the original purchase price or receive appropriate compensation. The vehicle has under 10,000 miles, and I am still making payments on a vehicle that does not meet multiple Motor Vehicle Safety Standards, including #226 Ejection Mitigation. I would like to resolve this matter as soon as possible and transition into a safe, reliable vehicle. Sincerely, [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The contact experienced neck pain, and her husband suffered a burn mark from the air bag deployment. The contact's eleven-year-old son suffered neck pain and a seat belt burn, while her other child had no injuries seated in a car seat. Medical attention was received. A Police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a salvage yard and declared a total loss by the insurance company. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The contact stated that prior to the crash, the vehicle had been taken to the dealer for the brake failure, and the dealer performed a brake inspection and passed the vehicle. On 9/15/26 I had activated my left turn signal and was entering the left hand turn lane. About halfway into the lane, the vehicle dashboard displayed “Emergency steering activated” and began forcing my steering wheel the opposite direction for no reason. There was no traffic and I was not crossing into somewhere I shouldn’t. This was extremely dangerous. I haven’t notified Hyundai. Weather was sunny and clear.

Since January 2026, the southern states Hyundai dealership in Raleigh, North Carolina has given me excuses or refused to provide service for the recalls on my car unless we use a paid for service through them. recently on XXX I brought my car in for one of two recalls. Two hours prior to my appointment I called the dealership to confirm everything was all set and the timeframe. Upon arriving for my appointment, I was told that the part for the seatbelt recall had come in and the dealership was unable to complete both recalls at the time of my appointment so I requested one to be completed and then I would come back for the other another day. The dealership refused they stated “I could leave my car and just go into work a little late the next day.” They stated “ we will not get paid if we complete only one and not the other” I was turned away from my appointment unless I would go into work late the next day and leave my car overnight without a rental. Southern states Hyundai in [XXX] has denied on multiple occasions since January 2026 any recalls to be completed and hassled us every time we come in for an oil change or a state inspection due to not completing the recalls, but they also don’t have the parts and will not communicate when parts are available. Is 244 complaints a lot? They were filed between 2024 and 2026, roughly 131 a year, which is more than the typical model in this dataset. We do not have sales figures for this model, so treat this as a rough volume, not a rate per car on the road. Popular, high-volume models naturally collect more complaints over time.
