The contact owns a 2020 Ford Edge. The contact stated that while driving 5 MPH and making a right turn after stopping, the rear differential made an abnormal grinding sound and the vehicle shuddered. The contact stated that the failure occurred while driving at low speeds and turning. The dealer was notified of the failure and scheduled an appointment for a diagnostic test. The contact associated the failure with Technical Service Bulletin: 26-2328 (Chatter/Shudder During Low Speed Turning Events) and NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V011000 (Power Train); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 51,000.

While driving the HVAC stops working, radio locks at current setting (cannot turn volume up or down, etc.), screen goes blank or locks, windows do not open or close. Their are multiple warnings about sensors not working. Malfunctioning driver assist jerks wheel when driving through a restaraunt drive-thru. Had the sensor replaced for the adaptive cruise control and it did not correct the cruise issue. The issue initially started with the monitor screen going blank randomly and then progressing to the above issues. This had been happening for the last 2 or 3 years before the above accured.

Forward collision warning stopped working which in turn caused the cruise control to not work. Then the PSCM (power steering control module) just went out all at once. Was driving and it showed warning on the dash. I drove on and parked. When I went to start back, it started fine but couldn’t move steering wheel. I’m seeing this has been a problem with other owners and the same year model. Ford has done a recall on edge for years around 2020 but not that particular year. Gonna cost $2772.59 to fix at dealership. Always owned ford but very disappointed how this happened with very little warning at all. If it had locked up while I was driving it would have been a major accident.

The contact stated that after a few attempts to pull the seatbelt, the seatbelt retracted. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where the failure could not be replicated. The contact stated that the seatbelt was kept latched when exiting the vehicle. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 30,500.

I was driving on the highway with my husband and our dog when out of nowhere the panoramic sunroof exploded. We were traveling home and could have been in an accident when it occurred because it sounded like a gunshot hit the car. If we had not been calm during the incident, not only our lives but the lives of everyone around us could have been affected. There were no warnings about this and when we purchased the vehicle in 2023 the dealership didn’t even say anything about a possiblity of this happening. I did research after it happened to make sure there wasn’t a recall we missed and I came across lawsuits because of this.

The contact owns a 2020 Ford Edge. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle jerked roughly while turning right or left, with a grinding sound coming from the vehicle. The contact stated that the vehicle was driving sluggishly. The contact stated that the brakes had been recently serviced but might be the issue. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed with a rear axle failure caused by inadequate lubrication in the rear axle. The contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V011000 (Power Train); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 94,000.
